The Kingdom of the Lion

By Peace | March 8, 2006

The beasts of the field and forest had a Lion as their king. He was neither wrathful, cruel, nor tyrannical, but just and gentle as a king could be.

One day, he gathered all the animals. He paired them up to point out each other’s weaknesses - the wolf and the lamb, the leopard and the antelope, the tiger and the deer, the dog and the hare.

The timid Hare spoke up, “I had always felt that the smaller and weaker animals had no place in the kingdom. But it’s simply great to stand in Your Majesty’s presence today.

Moral
