Passing Baton
By Peace | June 30, 2008
Mexican Lilac trees are my favourite last time. During somewhere around February, all the pink flowers blossomed, the playground was so beautiful…now I don’t get to see these trees anymore.
This used to be my playground…..this song echoed in my mind. I woke up on Saturday morning, having the message, “to be like a Saint or Sage”. On that same day, I saw Puma, carried him and was so happy, but later on, very sad to receive the news of Gregory Yong, death at 2.40pm (heart failure). On Sunday, 29th June 2008, I woke up, dreamed of my childhood playground, but that playground was not at my block, but some distance far away, belonging to those hostels blocks of flats (several blocks away from my house). But my cousins and I often went different playgrounds to play.
I had not thought of that playground for so long, even for recall, no reason to recall either. However, in my dream, it was exactly the playground I dreamed of — the big ‘mountain’ with two sides, one for climbing and one for sliding down. I often went there, climbing up and sliding down. Because of this ‘mountain’, my pants was torn, and I was scolded by my mother. After that, I always took precautions whenever I played any slide.
However, I know that this dream has more meaning. It is a inverted parabola. The time is changed now. The death of Gregory Yong on 28th June 2008, is a special day — June 28 is the 179th day of the year (180th in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. This date is the only date each year where both the month and day are different perfect numbers. 2008 (MMVIII) is the current year, a leap year that started on Tuesday of the Common Era (or Anno Domini), in accordance with the Gregorian calendar.
2008 has been designated as:
* International Year of Languages;
* International Year of Planet Earth;
* International Year of the Potato;
* International Year of Sanitation;
* European Year of Intercultural Dialogue;
* Year of the Frog, as declared by the international conservation initiative Amphibian Ark.
* Year of the Dolphin (extended from 2007).
In Chinese astrology, most of 2008, starting with February 7, will overlap with the Year of the Rat (dates before February 7 are Year of the Pig). The next Year of the Rat will be in 2020.)
On this day where I dreamed of this playground, there were other things in the dream, but I cannot remember. It was another message. This time, it was “Jesus Christ, Bread Broken For A New World” and that explains the inverted parabola — the S-shaped sigmoid curve I saw in the sky and even the pigeons…. the reverse of change, I had mentioned in March…..
Last night, I watched Chronicles of Narnia, The Witch, The Lion and The Wardrobe, and I was so sad. The Lion symbolised Jesus. He was humiliated before he died. However, he was resurrected again…
This morning, I woke up, with the message that Jesus is the living sacrifice of the church. In the dream was another ‘black woman’, someone I had seen in TV, a leader, but I don’t know her name. She talked to me, but I had forgotten the details of the whole dream already, it was something about teacher…
The death of Gregory Yong, someone who had devoted his whole life to serve the people of God, someone who had sacrificed his life for the sake of God, and now it is my turn to repay his kindness, my turn to take over what I had experienced and witnessed, and to fulfill my task, my obligation.
