The Lord Comes

By Peace | July 7, 2008

This is how amazing the wonders of God is. I want to proclaim the mystery of Faith. I am The Ark of Salvation.

Youth Day Special

This is so amazing, I never know that this common wedding music was called “Wedding March” and I never paid particular attention to it, nor find it interesting.

But it was by ‘chance’, I get to learn about the title of this song, and by ‘chance’ I got a surprise gift, and deeply touched yesterday…

Joy To The World
And this morning, I dreamed of Mary, Mother of God, and in the dream, with people and especially Joy, telling me she heard this song, singing the tune to me, and telling me she was about to go up to the higher floor (banquet)….

The number three and seven appeared in my dream. It was indeed mysterious number. In Cantonese, the number three is life, can be mountain; and the number seven can be anger, can be ‘Chi’, energy. Numbers are so special and indeed mysterious…

Mendelssohn - Wedding March Theme for Organ

When Peace and Joy First Met. The Piano.
I don’t know what happen to Joy now. I learned something from her as well during the days when I worked with her. Her face resembles Michelle Chong, and she belongs to the ‘white skin’, very sensitive skin, with allergies here and there, very similar to my sister as well. My sister also belongs to the ‘white skin’, with acne and sensitive nose and skin, everything. There were really lots of parallels of life, so funny…

Wedding March - Mendelssohn - herald trumpet & organ

Felix Mendelssohn’sWedding March” is one of the best known of the pieces that he wrote as incidental music for Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream in 1842. It is one of the most played wedding marches. At weddings in many English-speaking countries, this piece is commonly used as a recessional, though frequently stripped of its episodes in this context.

The first time it was used at a wedding was when Dorothy Carew wed Tom Daniel at St Peter’s Church, Tiverton, UK, on 2 June 1847. However, it did not become popular at weddings until it was selected by Victoria, The Princess Royal for her marriage to Prince Frederick William of Prussia on 25 January 1858.

An organ on which Mendelssohn gave recitals of, among others, the “Wedding March” is housed in St Ann’s Church in Tottenham.
